  • THE ANIMAL PODCAST SERIES

As a clinical psychologist, I am interested in the relationships we imagine and romanticize about animal life. These videos are part of a series of faux-podcasts in which I toggle scientific and dream voices. They give me a chance to costume, to perform, to access animal self. For more in the series see my Vimeo page.

  • PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS FOR NGOs AND SOCIAL ADVOCACY:

The camera is a robust therapeutic tool. I sometimes use it in my therapy sessions, as a way for client and therapist to get a more objective view on our relationship. Interviews on tape can be a way to open up, to engage a performative or confident self.

Below are ways in which I have used the camera for social advocacy: documentary style interviews that expose a point of view, promotional content for NGO’s, empowerment work with refugees.

Daniel Adamick

A short film made about a man on his release from a life sentence in prison. He used the film as a letter to his daughter, to whom he had not spoken his full story.

Social Hackers Foundation

Part of a series of promotional videos for Social Hackers Academy, an NGO in Athens, Greece, that teaches refugees coding skills, to help them find high paying jobs.

Zohir

An interview with a refugee studying at Social Hacker Academy. Since the interview, he went on to become a teacher at the school.
